Circuit City can kiss my ass!
The following e-mails outline the stupidity of Circuit City and their lack of interest in keeping long-term customers who have spent 10's of thousands of dollars in their fucking stores.
I state now, that I will no longer give Circuit City, or any company connected with them, any business whatsoever. If you know of a company that is associated with Circuit City, in any way, please let me know and I'll add them to this page of people who officially suck ass. Thanks.

Dear William Mihan :
Thank you for submitting your on-line concern regarding the service on your
refrigerator. We welcome customer feedback to ensure that your questions
and concerns are answered.
Unfortunately, your warranty would only cover mechanical defects due to
normal wear and tear on your unit. Any parts that are loosened or have
broken would be considered accidental/cosmetic damage.
I do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused. Again, I
thank you for contacting our website.
Sincerely,
Riquita Knox

The doors are falling off because the nut *internal in the fridge* is
stripped and I can't screw the door on tightly. This is causing the
doors to fall off and *is* due to normal wear and tear... I have no
idea why the nut is stripped.

I was told, when I purchased my "extended service plan" from you that it
would cover anything.

Dear Bill Mihan:
I do apologize for the inconvenience that you are experiencing. There may
have been some mis-communication at the time of sale. Unfortunately, our
ESP does not cover all issue that may arise with your unit. It will cover
mechanical defects due to normal wear and tear, but it does not cover
cosmetic damage or accidental damage. The issue that you have with your
refrigerator is cosmetic/accidental damage, and we will not be able to
cover this.
Again, I apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for visiting our
website.
Sincerely,
Riquita Knox

DOORS FALLING OFF IS NOT COSMETIC!!!
I have reported this to 7 On your Side, a San Francisco news station that
sticks up for consumers, and you can try and explain to them how doors
FALLING OFF is cosmetic. In addition, I will be reporting this to Channel
4 News, since they also have a consumer fight-back segment, and the Better
Business Bureau first thing tomorrow morning.
Bill
Footnote: since those bastards at Circuit City would not service the refrigerator, and bring it back to "as purchased" condition, as stated in the extended warranty plan, I moved the doors so they open from the other side, this addresses the problem but now the doors open from the other side and it's sorta odd.
In any case, as I've resolved the situation, without the help of Circuit City, I will not be following up with the other news station nor the BBB. There's no point.
So... I'm now *not* going to accept ANY service from Circuit City, I will no longer shop there ever, and I'll spread the word about the way they treat their long-term customers. As far as I'm concerned, those fuckers can go clear out of business!
